Metabolism of nitroaromatic compounds by Burkholderia cepacia and other microorganisms. Enrichment of strain isolation capable of degrading nitroaromatic compounds with and without carbon and nitrogen co-metabolites. Techniques include GC, TLC, GC-MS and UV-IR spectrophotometry; enzyme isolation and characterization; pathway determination.
