EPP requires different perspectives for each category
of product or service. For example, EPP considerations for buying
a computer are different than considerations for landscaping
materials. Product function often impacts the environment too.
This concern can be applied to just about any product, especially
those indicated in the above links. Finally, each product has
a unique end-of-life which must lead to specific waste management
options. However, end-of-life for a product can be prolonged
through many practical options of reuse. Click through the above
links to view the details.
This page intends to provide useful information on seven distinct
products and services, which impact on the environment. Informed
decision making will reduce that impact. In becoming familiar
with a product's environmental impacts one can make a decision
about how to best approach EPP for that particular product.
