Mission Statement

The mission of the New Jersey Farm Management Program is to offer research-based training programs and educational information in farm business management and marketing to allow farmers and other agricultural firms to remain competitive in a global business environment.

Objectives

• To foster farmers' success by giving them the skills necessary to meet their economic, social, and environmental goals.
• To include university faculty and staff, and agricultural and non-agricultural professionals who are sensitive, creative, flexible, visionary, risk taking, and professionally competent to provide educational programs for specific audiences, using multi-disciplinary and team effort, involving needs identification, priority setting, program and information delivery, and impact assessment.
• To creatively deliver excellent, up-to-date programs with a strong agricultural economics base and which help people make decisions and solve problems.
• To serve diverse agricultural businesses.
