Interns for the 2008 Season

Marley has completed her undergraduate career at Cook College..."but I'm hanging out for one more year (my third) at the Cook Student Organic Farm. I'm ready for an amazing 2008 season with a new magical crew of farmers. I hope all shareholders are ready for a serious dose of veggies grown with a lot of love!"

Christina is going into her third year at Rutgers, majoring in Dance and Anthropology. "I'm so happy to be serving you here on the farm for my first summer. I love being here because of how important places like this are, and am glad you are a part of it!"

Adam is in his last year at SEBS (the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, the new name for Cook College). "I'm excited to be part of the farm. Some of my favorite plants are herbs, and I like working with my hands. If you need to find me, I'm the only guy with a ponytail. P.S. I will have a vineyard one day, and mentioning the farm will get you a free bottle!"

Christine is back for her third year at the farm. "I'm thrilled to be back, and really hope you enjoy the fantastic harvests you are about to receive throughout the summer. Please feel free to ask me any questions while at the farm. I'm more than happy to be part of a great team of interns working hard for all you shareholders!"

Vinnie O. (Codename: "Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Ryder's Lane") can often be found foraging the old strawberry plots or sinking canoes in Farrington Lake. Remains dormant over winter months, but has been emerging earlier in the season due to climate change. Reaches full bloom by mid-June. Harvest knowledge of Biofuels before early September, when he goes back to school.

Lora recently graduated with a BA in modern dance. "Hello shareholders! I feel very blessed to be here for another farm season of growing and learning."

Kristina (with a K) is in her first season as a farm intern. "I'm super excited to be here! It's awesome so far, except for when I accidentally got locked in the intern shed. FYI, if you hear knocking on the cooler, check it out! I like milkcrates because they are like big Legos, punk rock, sustainable agriculture, and Jarret Denver."

Charlton is back for his fourth season at the farm. "Back during my early college life I cut grass at an airport for a summer. This is when I realized that you can use a tractor for recreational purposes."
