Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
- We have a "Rubberband Return" basket for all the rubber bands used to hold
the bunches of kale and beets together. You can bring in rubber bands from home
that are going unused, too!
- We are taking donations of washed & empty plastic shell-type containers (from berries, grape tomatoes, etc.)
in preparation for berry season
- We are still accepting grocery bags (plastic and especially paper bags
with handles)
- When we give out plastic basil leaf containers, please remember to bring
them back with you the following week
Composting
We have cleared and fenced off some prime real estate out by the raspberry bramble,
and are now accepting compost donations! In order for us to accept material for compost,
you MUST follow some rules and donate ONLY the follwing items:
- Veggies and fruit scraps (NO stickers!)
- Egg shells
- Coffee grinds (and used (untreated) filters)
- Breads
- CLEAN bones
- Fish (NO other meat)
- NO leaves, NO grass, etc.
How Share Pickup Works
-
Bring bags or containers to carry home your share. If you have grocery/produce bags you would like to recycle,
we would be happy to take them!
-
When you come to the shed to pick up your share, there will be a list of shareholders' names posted.
Please
make sure we have the right contact info for you, and check off your name so we
know you were here!
-
There will be a note by each vegetable (or on the blackboard) of how much is allotted to each shareholder.
Please
take only that much, so all shareholders get an equal amount of the harvest.
